It works pretty well, just not that positively.

This works pretty well, just not very positively that I think the weight of my iPad is causing the screen to tilt down over time and I actually have an iPad Air. I tried tightening the clip on the clip to keep it from tipping but it still does after a while, not a big problem but I still hope it stays in place. Easy to install and easy to turn iPad on and off.

Pros
  • U.S. Patent. #6,585,212
Cons
  • makes me angry

Great for a heavy tablet! Processed!

I have a Samsung Tab Pro 12.2 with a case and it fits perfectly. I was concerned because the tablet is a bit heavy, but you can adjust the hinge ring for that. And because it's heavy, it doesn't move or shift while I ride. Edited: After a few uses, the rubber piece holding the tablet is cheap. It falls apart and no longer holds the tablet.

Pros
  • The support legs adjust and fit perfectly
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Good mount with a small issue

So does everything it says on the tin and looks solid and will likely hold up with use. What I suspect was too much paint on one of the threaded hooks. So turning the nut in that direction is very difficult. My first impression was that the nut was cross-threaded and forced on, but disassembly and inspection did not show this. Trying to scrape the paint off the threads with a wire brush did the trick and I hope it breaks down over time. It also holds the tablet perfectly and fits perfectly on…

  • Headrest mount holds tablets from 7" to 18.4"

Nice holder with a small problem

So it does what it says on the tin and feels solid and will most likely stand up to use. one of the threaded hooks. So turning the nut in that direction is very difficult. My first impression was that the nut was cross-threaded and forced on, but disassembly and inspection did not show this. Trying to scrape the paint off the threads with a wire brush did the trick and I hope it breaks down over time. It also holds the tablet perfectly and fits perfectly on the headrest of the 2012 VW…

Absolutely miserable product

I bought on recommendation on the Internet. While I agree that the headrest clip is solidly built and very versatile, the S-bar that then leads to the tablet holder is an absolute miss. I had to use a kid's toy to attach the S-bar to the seat to keep it reasonably stable, since it's so fragile it moves at least 1/2 inch in any direction under the weight of the iPad2 on top. My application is a GMC Sierra 09 so you might get lucky if your headrest slides forward and the "S" bar pushes against…
