So does everything it says on the tin and looks solid and will likely hold up with use. What I suspect was too much paint on one of the threaded hooks. So turning the nut in that direction is very difficult. My first impression was that the nut was cross-threaded and forced on, but disassembly and inspection did not show this. Trying to scrape the paint off the threads with a wire brush did the trick and I hope it breaks down over time. It also holds the tablet perfectly and fits perfectly on the headrest of the 2012 VW SportWagan.
