The reason I bought this was so the dispenser would not move around while I pulled & cut the tape using one hand. It did hold steady when I did this but because the metal cutting part was set in too low, the tape would almost always retract back in to the roll. This was annoying but you get what you pay for! I do not think I would buy this again just for that reason alone.

Great value heat tape dispenser. Base is sturdy and works well. Spool is a little temperamental when trying to remove and reload. Overall great buy. Would recommend.

The base is very nice. But the roller part doesn’t stay in very well when pulling the masking tape to dispense. Once you get the tape pulled to the desired length it works fine.

I bought this dispenser to fit a large roll of tape. I did not realize that the size of the tape diameter (not just the core) matter. I bought this for a 5.5" diameter roll of tape. It did not fit. I returned it. No problem.

It still dispenses tape so I’m keeping/ using it. It is sturdy. I use this while packing orders for painters tape but I broke the spinner nobs immediately after opening and loading it with tape. Like first use. Again the base is heavy and sturdy… the roller was not. Still works just slightly less convenient.

It's hard to cut the tape unless it's in a specific spot. The cutting blade is very cheap and doesn't cut well. The dispenser may not have a sharp cutter, leading to uneven or jagged tape cuts.

The spool will not stay in the dispenser while pulling the tape. I use tape in 2" sections so it isn't like I pull long pieces to cause it to come apart.

We do packing and shipping and this really helps us when needing to have a piece of tape for holding bubble wrap down. Purchased this for multiple stations.
