Doesn't work as described. Bad design.

Looks good but neither the motion sensor nor the light sensor work. Connected exactly as described and works like any vintage street light. Not worth the money paid. The light sensitivity setting is also on the back of the lamp! What an awful design. Whatever you need to adjust, you need to remove the bracket. Oh, and you have to caulk the bracket, which means you have to re-tighten it every time you adjust it. Never seen anything like this. And if you want, after paying for the installationโ€ฆ

Flickers with each LED bulb.

After a few days I noticed a slight flicker. I thought it might be an electrical issue until reading some of the reviews. I started changing lamp types to see if I could stop them. Eventually every LED bulb I used would start flickering severely within a few days, often within minutes or right after installation. The only lights I could get to work are CF and halogen bulbs but they are significantly less efficient than LED bulbs and this light is on about half the time so it's not an option for

General Satisfactory

I love this style. The motion sensor works as expected, but you must use the lamp type suggested in the instructions. We tried LED and CFL (coil) bulbs and neither of them allowed the Dualbrite option to work while driving. The only downside I see is the sensitivity sensor switch (which allows you to change how close/far it should detect your movement) on the back of this device. You can't easily change the sensitivity unless you unplug it from the wall. And you can't do that if you have toโ€ฆ

Cannot be used with LED bulbs

Bought because it was significantly cheaper than Home Depot. It was a little trickier to install compared to most fixtures I've made. Then I thought it was broken because it kept flickering. I had a bright LED there. Replaced it with a dimmer, soft white LED and it still flickered. It didn't stop flickering until I switched to the "curled bulb". Apparently the LEDs confuse the light into thinking the sun is out, so it turns off, then it goes dark, so it turns on, then it gets confused again, so

Looks good but not well packaged or assembled

I have ordered two of these as replacements for the back of my house. One of the two arrivals had a hole in the product packaging, and what pierced it blew out one of the panes of glass. I ordered a replacement but it was also damaged. One of the tabs holding the glass panes detached and the glass pane was at the bottom of the box. The product packaging is terrible. There's no foam protection, just some thin cardboard on either side and on top. No wonder these lights get damaged in transit. I'm

Nice, functional coach house style lights

UPDATE: Along with the two original lights installed on my front door, I installed two of these in my workshop in a master-master configuration, which also does the non-side barn controls motion sensor lighting, all vintage style 6W LED bulbs. All three bulbs in the configuration work fine, although they don't advertise compatibility with LEDs. No dimming problems. The lamp is not high-class, but the features and workmanship of the product are appropriate for the price, which is completelyโ€ฆ
