Beautiful Spring: Portable Audio & Video

This is very hard work. I use it for my 4ft Firestick and it's as sturdy as can be. It doesn't wobble the antenna even at over 110 km/h, but flexes enough to prevent the antenna from hitting hard.

Strong spring in portable AV equipment

This spring is very hard. Ideal for 102" whip antennas or larger. I would guess that the antenna will break before this spring is bent. I mounted it on my truck with a Browning BR-78, mainly to increase the length of the antenna and reduce the SWR. Works well.

  • Comfortable to use

Ideal for a 4 " Firestick mount

I bought this to soften the 4" Firestick mount when driving my Jeep through bush and rough terrain. My only complaint is that even though it's an HD spring, after regular off-road use it slowly gives way in the rear of the car (my CB antenna isn't usually installed unless I'm going into the woods).

Pros
  • Portable AV
Cons
  • Hard to say

Heavy Duty CB & HAM Antenna Spring - Procomm 404 Stainless Steel

Heavy Duty CB & HAM Antenna Spring - Procomm 404 Stainless Steel WON'T MOVE FOR YOU! 2 sets of antennas broke. **** I recommend the ProComm Heavy-Duty Barrel Spring for antennas (up to 102" poles). At least if you hit a low branch the antennas won't break!

does not flex with whip 102

Works well for 2 reasons, gives my 102" whip extra flexibility when hitting low objects and adds extra length to get perfect SWR. I even added a 1" 3/8" swivel nut -24 to make it even more dial-in. EDIT: Ordered 3 pieces and the last one I received had no packaging and the nib was half the diameter of the latter. Make sure you get a legitimate Procomm 404 and a feather that is no less flimsy.
