This is a great and very stylish looking product. The problem is that the included mounting hardware is not enough to mount it for the extra weight. I recommend, as do others, if you are mounting this invest in some larger mounting screws and inserts.

This footrest looks great, rotates easily (but stays 'up' in this position), has a strong hinge and is made of durable materials. . Wife is glad I installed it. Just a note, for this thing to actually work you'll need to turn at least one of the three screws in the wall studs behind the tiles - and ideally if you're (re)assembling a shower enclosure from scratch you probably should be doing this, prepping the whole area with you a wider mounting plate for added strength.

The footrest was heavier than me - very solid and well made. If you are building new, it is imperative that you anchor the wall to secure it. It comes with some plastic anchors which probably won't last long unless you go into solid masonry/concrete. My shower room consists of half-timbered walls, hardboard and tiles. I was lucky enough to hit a bolt on the right side, but I used a plastic anchor on the left. In retrospect, I should have used the toggle switch on the left. The product itself is

Expensive for what? Yes. Well, after spending a decent amount of time and money on a beautiful new modern master bathroom, I just couldn't bring myself to buy a plastic bottle or one of those suction cups. This thing looks great in a new shower and does what it's supposed to. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like a hundred bucks could include a mounting template for the holes you need to drill for mounting. Otherwise I (and my wife who uses it) are very happy with the purchase. .
