True Yellow, plug and play to meet OEM specs

These Optilux H3 fog lights have a true yellow tint and excellent brightness. I installed these headlights on my 1998 Lexus SC300 and they fit perfectly with no modifications. It's been 6 months and I use them every day and they still work. Please note that these are halogen bulbs which means they will not last as long as LED bulbs. The radiation behavior is perfect and I have nothing to complain about.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • So far so good

. PIAA charged $50 for their bulbs so I went with these cheaper Hella bulbs. They're a bit more yellow compared to PIAA, but not as bright. They provide a nice strip of light on the road directly in front of your car so you can see paved lines, but they don't do much for additional illumination. I think it's ok for the price, but as soon as the first bulb burns out I'll go back to PIAA.

Pros
  • . Certified
Cons
  • . I will add later.

Jeep TJ fog lights are good for headlight bulbs

high beam headlights on the TJ don't cost anything. Put those bulbs in place, however, and they become useful fog lights. Do not use white fog lights as the water droplets will simply reflect the light back onto your face. The yellow light actually penetrates and lets you see a little further. It also allows others to see you from afar. It took about 10 minutes per side as removing the bulb from a 2006 TJ is very difficult. Tip: Just use an open-end wrench and remove it from the bumper. But works. in headlight bulbs

That's exactly what I wanted in terms of color, but I'm not sure if it's exactly 100 watts. I have KC daylights on the front of my car and they are rated for 55-130w bulbs and I bought a 100w pack. The original KC bulbs were very bright but the color was around 3000K so very halogen orange. My car had blue LEDs and halogen headlights looked weird. I bought these bulbs hoping they would be the same brightness but I'm not sure. I feel like it's not pulling 100 watts, but more in the 75-85 wattโ€ฆ

Used in Hella 500FF lamps

These bulbs were used as an upgrade to the Hella 500FF Auxiliary Lamp Kit along with an improved complete wiring harness to allow for the increased output and amperage cope with these lamps. Initially I was concerned the bulbs would be short lived like some of the headlight bulbs I've used but so far so good. These bulbs were an absolute must for the Hella driving lights as part of the conversion. Even on my trucks, the high beam from these bulbs outperforms them, making life a little safer inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1 bulb - packed in separate carton
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

Burnt out after approximately 100-150 hours of use

short lifespan. But for less than $20, it was worth trying. I installed it 8 months ago and have only really used it for the last 3 months and one of the bulbs has blown. I can guarantee that the bulbs did not come into contact with other surfaces during installation. My car's electrical system is stock, with no modifications that could shorten the life of the bulb. Looking at my average commute to work and factoring in other trips, the bulbs probably have between 100 and 150 hours of use. This

Untenable. < 3 months.

I bought them with clear lenses HELLA 005860801 450 12v fog light kit as they no longer come with amber lenses. These lamps worked fantastic. The color is rich yellow. Even at 55 watts they work very well. Installed at the end of August. However, one lasted until mid-November, just when I needed it. I was careful. Gloves were used and wiped down with 99% isopropyl alcohol. I checked another one and it is also showing signs of failure. I will buy another set but if they die before the year isโ€ฆ
