I am very satisfied with this temperature sensor

I am very satisfied with this temperature sensor. It came with a 1/8" NPT gauge and a wire harness that secured to the back of the gauge with a locking connector. The sensor cable was long enough to reach the sensor block I had installed on the gearbox housing. The Breeze and the included instructions were concise and well written, overall I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • unreliable

Installed on a 2006 Jeep Wrangler

I installed this sensor on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) with the sensor installed in the transmission pan in February 2017. Works well. From the driver's seat you can't see the top of the sensor where I placed it, but I know 180* is pointing straight up so I don't mind. I installed it for about 6 months and then added a transmission cooler. After installing the cooler, the temperature dropped by 20*.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works best as described at gearbox temp

Had problems with the BM Racing Gauge Kit and bought this temp sensor. fitting. Make sure you ground the sensor to the top and not to the case. (Don't let it touch the other connector that should go to the meter.) If you do this, everything will work fine. They tell you to ground yourself, but not in the way I described above. There was a lot of trial and error before I connected as described.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • are running out
