The product arrived with a defect. The collet nut has not been properly machined causing the collet to not seat properly in the holder. This wasn't a simple problem of higher beats, it rendered the product unusable. I have since ordered a replacement and will update when it arrives.

2 stars because the product photo and description is incorrect. I will change when the seller updates the product listing. Tie rod thread M12x1.75 (like most MK3 collets). It's not 1/2-13 as other reviewers have pointed out. - Machining is good, TIR < 0.001" - Uses a standard ER40UM nut (not the hex nut shown in the product image) - Wrench provided is a universal C-hook wrench (not a true ER40) - Wrong thread (3/8" -16) Laser engraving on the part - A few burrs around the threads

Just a warning, product description is different from what was sent to me when I ordered. The hitch description above is for 3/8"16 threads per inch (which my factory uses). The chuck I received requires a 1/2" 13 tpi drawbar. I can't tell you how it works until I fix the drawbar issue. However, it fits my ER-40 collets perfectly!
