🪒 Leather Double Edge Safety Razor Head Protective Sheath with Handmade Shaving Travel Cover in Bourbon Brown - Hide & Drink Review

Bought to send my husband overseas it's brilliant! He doesn't like to travel with his safety razor because of the inconvenience, but now it can be carried around easily. And it looks pretty cool too.

Before I got this protective case I just tossed my razor in my travel bag. Well, one day after a long flight I climbed in and cut my finger with a long cut. Very oh. Learned my lesson the hard way. This item sews well, fits snugly on my Feather razor and gives me peace of mind knowing I won't cut myself again. And it's the most compact/lightest way to travel with a shaver. 5* deserves.

I bought at least 6 of these cases to store my different 2 razor heads. They fit easily over fixed or butterfly heads. I haven't encountered any issues with the lid blades touching/blunting. Their build quality is excellent. The appearance of the product upon opening the package is impressive. You slip the cover into a small canvas drawstring bag and have a card signed by the person who reviewed it. 10/10 - highly recommended. I wouldn't continue to buy if I couldn't recommend it!

Aside from smelling like new leather to me, this product is also well made. I've been using it on my vintage safety razor for a few months now and while it doesn't need much maintenance it's still as aesthetically pleasing as the day I got it. I slip it on and off my safety razor without removing the blade and so far I've only noticed superficial wear on the inside - surface discoloration rather than actual wear marks to be expected when metal edges slide across the underside. Beautiful and very durable leather sheath for a safety razor. Packed in an elegant linen pouch with leather drawstrings. Unfortunately, once the lid is removed the bag seems unusable and because it's so beautiful it's difficult to throw away. The bag is kind of a gimmick. The cover itself is high quality and original. I hope to get as many years from a case as I did from a straight razor - 47 years! I will buy more products from this company in the future.

I used to travel with a Bic single blade disposable razor which did the job but didn't shave as well as my WW2 Gillette. Well, the Hide & Drink lid (I'm still scratching my head at the name) allowed me to take my trusty double edge with me when hitting the road. permanently installed - hence the "title" of my review. There is not much to say about the razor case. It covers my safety razors well. It goes with all of my safety razors: a pair of butterfly designs and an adjustable razor (you know, the sleek Mercur Bauhaus design). The skin is not the thickest. Material but it's thick enough and looks pretty stylish. You know, if your dopp kit looks stylish, this is for you. 😉

This is a simple, well made leather double edged razor sheath. It goes perfectly with my two razors. This is ideal for travel when you want to cover an open razor blade to avoid cutting your fingers while you work and protect the razor head from damage. The sheath comes in a small cloth drawstring pouch which can also be used to carry the razor. I can highly recommend the product.

I find the quality of these (I have 4) very good, but there is a small difference in size and rigidity due to the fact that they are genuine Leather. I've just added a fourth for the new Merkur angle razor and it fits very well. I wish they were a little bigger.
