Mine was very off center.

Test where easy and audible to set up. but I suspect the 300Hz test tones are for offset/anti-skating adjustment. These test tracks are very loud and I don't think 300Hz will rise to +15dB in most pieces of music. After tuning to full range, however, everything seemed to sound clearer. The problem is that I paid $50 for a copy that was far from the center, not good for testing. Everyone should inform Revane that we will not write off the core records for the money they are now worth. If there…

Good to have. Should have?

I've been talking about it back and forth; worth 50 bucks? I honestly still don't know. I know I've been told the anti-skate doesn't work very well on the AT 120USB LP. It also allowed me to know the resonant frequency of my pickup and arm combination. (starts to tremble). It also confirmed that I was doing a lot of the right things in my TT setup. It's most likely dumb luck. If you have the cash and are new to the high score game, this is probably a good thing. You can use this every time you…

Great for the curious, but don't think it's mandatory for your setup.

Pretty good. I'm not sure how accurate this thing really is. I bought it mainly out of curiosity. My cartridge (Dynavector 20x2L) was professionally adjusted by my dealer and still doesn't get past the 8th or 9th track of the tracking portion of the recording, which is odd as the DV20x2 is an incredibly accurate dolly. Great for setting the perfect anti skate as my rega chart doesn't show too clearly which settings are accurate in the slider setting. I see this post as a guide rather than a…

Fascinating - turntable and accessories

I bought this because I have a Technics 1200 where I wanted to make sure the anti-skate was working properly. I used the "CD method" and accordingly it didn't match what the VTF was. So if I set the VTF to 2g, I had to set the anti-skate to 4. And this test log confirmed it. So it looks like my anti-skate is a bit worn. What drives me crazy is that some tests drive you crazy. As if the resonance test were wild! He started dancing at a certain frequency. I still think that records and the way…

Great foundation test record!

I've always been interested in test recording as I've only set up my players with basic tools/methods (alignment pointer, VTF scale, bracket alignment) and everything sounded fine, but I've often wondered if everything is fine? This recording includes many useful test tracks suitable for testing tuning accuracy from beginner to advanced level. I found the anti-skating and tracking tests particularly helpful as they helped me ensure my pickup and anti-skating settings were correct (anti-skating…

Total waste of money

If you are serious enough about setting up your player and think you might need this disc then you probably SHOULD NOT. For example, do you think you need a $49 vinyl record to figure out how to properly connect your left and right speakers with the correct polarity and figure out if they're correct or not? Or to find out if your system is properly balancing left and right channels? Half of the first page of this entry is dedicated to that. I think I would be happier with this post if it showed
