Best available RAID card other than tech support

This RAID card offers port multiplier protocols that allow up to 20 HDD/SDD/HSDD drives to be connected together as a JBOD or as a RAID 0/1/5 /6 and to mount etc. We use it with our Microsoft 2019 server and Storage Spaces built-in disk software and as long as you're not using Windows 2012 Storage Spaces works great. Please note that there are some issues in Storage Spaces 2012 that caused significant data loss on our system, but these issues were fixed in 2016 and will continue to be addressed

You need this information.

So I went out and bought one because I was having trouble setting up RAID on my motherboard using my own methods. After some research I've come to the conclusion that a RAID controller in a PCIE slot (PCIE x1 FYI) will handle the RAID and avoid the required system overhead. The device is quite easy to install. Simply find a free PCIE slot, slide out the grille covering the slot on the back of the PC case and slide it into the slot. The unit came with SATA cables (I believe they are SATA III but

Technically works well, but everyday use is tiring.

Bought this card to replace 2 eSATA cards that had no driver support in Windows 10. Pros: Efficient in providing eSATA support for removable drives, multi-drive enclosures and docking stations, which is what I needed. Cons: 1. PC startup now includes a 30 second look at a legacy screen where the BIOS is looking for RAID drives that would never be there if this removable drive card was purchased. This 30 second handshake period is a "feature" and cannot be changed or removed by the card…

Works fine after proper configuration

The first PCIe x1 slot I put it in caused my system not to boot. It's probably a motherboard issue, so I tried another free slot and it booted fine. However, this card was NOT driverless in Windows 10. I had to download and use the Windows 7 drivers as there are NO Windows 10 drivers available on their website (so confusing and annoying). But the Win7 drivers worked fine, but it took me a while to figure it out and a couple of reboots to get them working properly. Finding software on their…
