Fresh and Powerful Learning and Behavioral Tools

Two batteries is a good amount so it doesn't become obsolete in anticipation of use. They each last six to eight weeks. I use them in a bark collar. Well the dog is never shocked because as soon as I put this on him he grumbles but knows not to bark. The battery eventually drains from waiting. The same should apply to the electric fence cuff.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Modern

Battery refills - lots of new cases!

I'm outraged that the collar requires a special battery which I can't easily buy anywhere but if you open one very carefully and don't mess up the little socket/pin set you will find this full of button batteries for hearing aids - 12 to be exact. I consider it an investment in refilling cartridges as I can get button batteries locally if needed.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • No automatic

At this rate, a dozen will last 3-4 months

Boo! The first battery I tried died before I put it in the collar. Sigh. Swapped out for another that worked. I haven't bothered to check the rest, but there are probably a few more dead. The spare battery (the second) lasted all twelve days. The third last night and worked. We'll see how long that lasts, but I'm not hopeful.

We have used them in bark collars for ours.

We have used them in collars for two of our dogs. One dog barks more than the other (much more). I wish they had lasted longer. Just ordered 12 more (9 months later) plus 1 of the 12 in the last order was DEFECTIVE. Can't figure out how to get it back. Other than that, the product and the bark collars seem to work. The dogs have "calmed down" their barking, although they are still barking, just more quietly.

Pros
  • Training and Behavior Aids
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Your bark collars are great but

The batteries that came with the two bark collars I bought lasted 5 weeks and died 24 hours apart. The 1st battery from this set lasted for 1 day. The second battery barely lasted a day (maybe, I don't know). Other SIX yes SIX (6) batteries are empty. Found 2 that have made it in a week so far. Luckily, and that's the only saving grace, if you click on the battery in the corner where they're glued together, you'll find 8 hearing aid batteries available on ebay in lots of 100 for $18.

Pros
  • Pet supplies
Cons
  • Very expensive
