Bought this to put on my coffee table - the slate is beautiful and just like the picture with a little jagged and rough edges. I liked it but unfortunately it broke and I didn't order it again because I'm afraid the second one will also break because it's fragile because it's thin and the packaging isn't very strong.

This is a really beautiful natural slate serving tray. The edges are authentically chiseled moldings. Modern polished nickel handles are durable and easy to fit. This is a great size for appetizers to make them look special. This really isn't the kind of tray you want to load up with something heavy and carry around. It's more of a decorative accent. It will also look great on a vanity or kitchen island to protect a counter or decorate a composition. Worth every penny and makes a great gift!

The handles are supplied separately and are somewhat hidden in the packaging material. If you open the wrong end of the box, you most likely won't see it at all. You are behind a styrofoam square. So if you can't see them, take everything out of the box and examine the styrofoam. Handles must be screwed to the box. The tray is beautiful and very elegant but it is a bit thin and slate is a rather brittle stone as it can chip off in layers so I don't think this tray should be used too often. It…
