    It's problematic for two reasons: 1. It squeaks quite loudly.

    There are two reasons for the problem: 1. It creaks quite loudly as the bolt rotates around its base. This problem did not go away even after "breaking inโ€ the belt. 2. The bolt itself broke after a few months (see photo).

    • If you are a frequent traveler, you should get this belt. No more need to remove your belt to check the TSA

    • My husband loves it but we had 2, the first took longer and the second lasted less than a month and we cannot return.

    A GOOD BELT AT AN INCREDIBLE VALUE FOR THE PRICE - NO VALUE OF RETURN.

    In this case, I admit that maybe I'm just an uncultured layman, not used to good things. I just don't see the value in this belt given the quality of its leather. Maybe I'm paying for the "designer style" name. The belt surprisingly serves its purpose, so no problem. The plastic buckle assembly effectively manages my metal allergy, which is the most important thing for me. The belt is elegant and I like a much more rustic belt than this one. This belt is too cowardly for me. As I said, thisโ€ฆ

    Poor quality looks good

    This is truly the only beautiful metal free belt sold on Amazon. However, even though I only weighed 155 pounds, the buckle broke after two months of daily use at work. I would not recommend buying this belt if you will be wearing it every day. If it's just for travel, this might be what you're looking for.

    The clasp is broken, uncomfortable to wear.

    The skin is large and thick, so it is not very comfortable to wear. Also, the buckle broke after about a year of wearing it once a month or so.

    Plastic breaks within a month

    I bought this belt because I'm allergic to silver and copper, which gives me rashes around the buckle. I was happy with the belt until 3 months after wearing it the plastic broke. Not a very strong belt for the price.

    Good quality in my rating.

    My friend is allergic to metal and loves these straps. I've bought him a pair now. The second one is still on :) We were impressed with the overall quality of this belt...and the fact that is was manufactured in the U.S.A..

    Metal free, good for me

    This strap activates the metal detector when held close to the buckle. There is probably a thin metal wire in the middle of the buckle. In addition, the belt holes wear out quickly. I am going to buy a new belt which will hopefully be metal free.

    Relieves anxiety, keeps belt in place

    Great belt, looks good, fits well. Highly recommended. Am TSA pre and I'm in my 70's but I just want to go through security. TSA is helping, helping me, and helping all other travelers in line behind me.

    The buckle broke in my head

    The belt was comfortable and worked well for me through metal detectors. I wasn't impressed with the quality of workmanship on the buckle when it arrived but kept it as it was still functional. The clasp broke after 3 months. I expected more from a $40 belt.

    Great until the buckle breaks

    I have arthritis in my shoulders and it is very difficult for me to unbuckle and put on my seat belt at security checkpoints. This belt is perfect for solving that problem - it doesn't need to be removed. It's great until the buckle breaks, which has happened two so far. If the manufacturers could add a snap closure and include or sell additional buckles, I would happily upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

    There should be a very small staple on the loop.

    There should be a very small staple on the loop. It usually goes through a working metal detector (the detection setting is higher than the airport) but it does work from time to time and when they get me out it buzzes right on the loop.

    Perfect belt. The plastic seems durable. Thick top quality leather. As the seller suggests, go one size up than what you are wearing / measure your waist, this will ensure you are using a medium 5 hole.
