They have done well on several trips. They are .

They have worked well on several trips. They are lightweight and fold to take up minimal space. They are very effective in blocking the wind around the camp stove burner and directing more heat to the pot or object to be heated.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some little things

I took this to a beach grill recently and it worked great keeping the wind off the coals and helping to keep the right temperature for both Korean grilling and boiling water pots. The material is light yet durable and can withstand strong winds.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction

Sturdy, well made - glad I chose HIGHROCK!

This is a great windbreak for my little camp stove. I think it will also be large enough to be used for cast iron cooking. This Highrock 10 stays together and the metal wires will NOT fall out compared to many other brands/models I've researched (still has 2 end wires to insert into soft ground for stability). I'm very glad I chose this one! The included nylon drawstring pouch feels sturdy too.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Wind Wizard in Camping & Hiking

Large enough for a gas stove and perfect for an alcohol stove. I'm tired of fiddling with aluminum foil, looking for bits of bark or something, or perching behind a log and still having trouble with the wind. This item is durable and nicely made to fold easily. You can easily put a glass or teapot on it. Warning: if you're a backpacker, this thing isn't light - some steel, not aluminum. You don't have to worry too much about bending.

Pros
  • Very good value for money

Works great on small fires

Works great on my small portable fireplace. There should be no open flames in my area. This protects it everywhere except where you sit. I basically just laid aluminum foil on the bottom of the fire pit, wrapped it around the grate and lit one of the small fire starter bags. There is a little warmth and a good atmosphere. When I want to put it out I just cover the top with foil and leave it in a fire pit overnight. No chaos, no annoying neighbors, no cleaning.

I like the larger size which works well for wrapping.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. I like the larger size which fits my portable butane stove well. I actually keep it in the hard plastic case my stove came in so they're always together. Probably too big if you used it for hiking or with a small stove. It's fine for car camping, though, and I often pop my portable stove into my Weber grill when I want to sear a steak or grill something over high heat without filling the whole house with a haze of airborne grease. When it's windy I use this…

multipurpose for me.

Bought to protect my stove from the wind. I have a small stove that fits on a canister. The oven is cool but a little high. The wind carries quite a bit of heat to the surface. This is the optimal height for my purposes. Folds up so I can fit different pan sizes. Small stove, so really used to boil water for coffee making. This is my main oven for my main workhorse. This gives more heat to the pan, which saves fuel. Translate - water boils faster. I made popcorn with this stove 3.20 miles from…
