Description of ๐Ÿ“ฆ Hillman 48260 3 Inch Multipurpose 250 Pack: Versatile and Convenient Bulk Package

Ideal for interior wood projects. Flat head with countersinking nibs allows the screw to drive clean and flush to the surface. Square drive for confident stick fit while driving. Not recommended for exterior projects or treated lumber. Yellow zinc finish complements most wood finishes.

My boy is a bad check

They do their job. They are long and strong with no kinks, bends or anything. I'll say I still prefer the star head to the square head, but it's really good value and beats Phillips to hell. Also, things are damn sharp. I can't dip my hand into the box without ragrets like I can with the other screws I use. But it's more of a personal problem.

Pros
  • Fasteners
Cons
  • Very expensive

Preferably. screws. Is always.

Very high quality compared to eg large shopping malls. Fewer counterfeit screws, poorly cut threads, etc. Also, if you've never used square head screws, you'll be delighted. The bit doesn't come out as easily as a Phillips drive, so you have fewer stripped heads and broken bits. You'll also find that you don't have to push the driver nearly as hard to turn the bolts. If you don't have a variable torque clutch, or your clutch is set too high, you can actually loosen the bolt inside the jobโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Industry and science
Cons
  • Large and chunky

Ok screws. Not SPAX

They are cheaper than SPAX but not inferior to their quality. The square head is flat and rounded on the bottom and my bits tend to slip out and I cut into material with my bit - maybe it's just my application error but I don't have that problem with any SPAX screw. However when the bit grabs it fits well but it was 50/50 and hurt my thumb when my bit slipped off while riding. One broke in a 2x4 Douglas fir, maybe it hit a branch, maybe I drove too hard. ; one was completely warped out of theโ€ฆ
