Hillsdale Furniture Sophia Vanity Stool Review

This is a good sturdy stool. The assembly of the crossbar was very difficult to put according to the instructions. I had to remove one of the four legs to install the crossbar. The 4 crossbar screws didn't come in with a Phillips head screwdriver as advertised. They had to be screwed in with a cordless drill. It looks beautiful and sits perfectly straight.

An excellent dressing table. I bought a white stool with a gray seat and then painted the legs to match my vanity. Arrived on time and well packaged. Assembly was easy for me, but I used a drill for the screws connecting the crossbars to make it easier/quicker for me. Very durable. I probably weigh about 200 pounds and feel secure sitting on it. The seat is not very comfortable; If that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. I highly recommend this stool!

I was nervous about buying this without having seen it in person, but I'm happy to say it goes perfectly with my vanity! It doesn't look cheap and it was very easy to put your feet up. How really very easy! It's the perfect height and the seat is actually quite comfortable with lots of padding. If you like the style you won't be disappointed. Not very stable, only sat on it a few times for less than a minute and it's a little wobbly. Female 5ft 6in, I weigh 170. At over $60 I would not recommend this and would return if I keep the box. In addition, the color differs greatly from the illustration; Instead of creamy white, the wood is bright white and the gray is much lighter. Not that it really matters, but very sloppy inside. It would be a great buy for a little girl's vanity if it was $30, but not if you want a nice stool.
