HINSON Truck Performance Spark 1999 2014 Review

These wires are comparable to MSD wires for the same application. These connector wires are a high quality product with competitive price; They are of good value. I had a bad contact and they exceeded my expectations by replacing the entire connector cable quickly and without any problems. I was very impressed with their service.

Just installed them on my 2015 6.2 liter GMC Sierra SLT last weekend, so far they work great, they look great and the red color dilutes the dullness of the dirty engine compartment. The OEM heat shields on the end of the spark plug will not fit exactly like the OEM leads, but can still be used. They're a little longer than standard wires, but not much longer, making them easier to manage.

Purchased to replace the stock cables for 13' 4.8L Silverado. The wires are about 2 inches longer than the original, which didn't make much of a difference. The stock heat shield on the boots works. All I had to do was twist the wire next to the steering column to remove the bolt on the shaft. The rear passenger cable is nearby, it may need to be repositioned to avoid rubbing against the bulkhead heat shield in the future.

I put hot coils on the last 2 cars, which improve the characteristics. After the update with HINSON there was a noticeable improvement in performance and mileage. I definitely recommend this great value upgrade!

These wires are good quality and work great. My only complaint is that they are about 2 inches too long. Not a big deal, but on my 2012 6.2L Sierra, one of the center wires on the driver's side is very close to the steering arm connector and I was a bit concerned that it might pull the wires out, so I taped a screw to the steering arm and twisted it around a bit of wire to make room.

I called Hinson Motorsports before purchasing this product to make sure it would fit my 2011 Gmc Sierra. Initially, I chose those that were advertised as being for cars. As soon as I received them and put them on my truck I found that they are 1-2 inches longer. Should have followed my instincts and taken the shorter ones instead of the recommended one.
