Idle strike prevention maximizes air flow and holds bit properly to prevent idle striking and grease leakage. Compact tool size for ease of use in confined work environments. Side handle includes a depth gauge for consistent drilling depths.

It's a great tool for a variety of tasks

This is a great tool for a variety of tasks. I really like the quality of the Hitachi, plus it's compact enough to fit into tight spaces.

too powerful for drills and demolition hammers

heavy commercial daily use, dead after a year but very strong (drills break) and works well so far, better than milwaukee, lives about the same, much better performance, will buy again

The best rock drill I have ever used

This is by far the best rock drill I have ever used. It's surprisingly quiet, has very little vibration and requires almost no pressure to drill. One of the best tools.
