TERRIBLE. Ordered 6013 and got 6011.

The 6011 rods came in a box with 6013 written on it by Revain. I've been welding lighter gauge steel and burned out as 6011's penetrate much deeper. Very unhappy. I recommend another seller.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not as good as Forney

I am a beginner welder with TIG and Welding (SMAW), I have enough experience to build my projects. Used a Forney 3/32 "E6013" with great success. Walked out thinking Hobart was an established name in the business, ordered and looking forward to using them. Big mistake, just ordered a Forney Rush. Hobart rod, different This rod is the same diameter and type E6013 Forney rod, has a very difficult ignition time. Increasing the current by 10 amps did not help. The stick sticks easily over and over…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use

TERRIBLE. Ordered 6013 and received 6011.

6011 Bars came in a box marked 6013, after that I went to welding thinner steel and burned through because 6011 penetrates much deeper.

Pros
  • Item Package Dimensions: 14.5"L x 3.25"W x 1.75"H
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Good bars. Too thin for most applications

I bought these for welding thin sheet metal and pipe. The wands work well, but consume incredibly quickly even at the recommended amperage settings. One rod is enough for about 6 inches of welding. Next time I will at least buy a 1/8 inch rod.

Pros
  • General purpose light to medium penetration rod
Cons
  • Out of style

Unlike other 6013s I've used

Beginner welder so YMMV; but I ran out of Forney rods and decided to buy these, of which there were more. It seemed to me that they didn't roll as easily as the Forni rods. I only walked 2 or 3 before switching to my 6011.

Pros
  • Works with AC or DCEP polarity (reverse) or DCEN polarity (straight)
Cons
  • High price
