Holder Rectangular Porcelain Socket Halogen Review

I needed a compact lamp base that can be used in high temperature (coffee roaster) environments. Plastic bases, although plentiful and cheap, are not suitable. This ceramic lamp base holds up well after a dozen cycles. I'm pushing the 180C limit on the ceramic base, but the attached silicone wire runs through a much cooler area. Combined with a G_5.3 halogen lamp, this holder solved my problem with high temperature lighting.

My landscape lighting is about 12 years old and the electrical connections at the bulb insertion points are so worn that they often no longer work. I've checked the kids for repairs, but as I said, the manufacturer doesn't sell them; I have to change all headlights. These links appear to be direct replacements (even with the same shape to match the light) of the originals. With less than an hour of soldering, this should restore my Sterno Paradise landscape lights.

They fit perfectly in my 50w landscape lighting with an MR16 bulb. A few years ago I bought some of these fittings from another seller on Revain who claimed they were compatible with MR16 halogen bulbs. Sure, the bulbs fit, but they kept falling out because the contacts didn't put enough pressure on the bulb pins to hold the bulb. There is no such problem with them. They were cheap and really worked. I would take more of these if I needed them.
