Will not fit a standard wine bottle

I bought these corks knowing they would fit a standard wine bottle but they were too thick to fit so I did sent them back for a refund.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Labeled #8, actually #9

When I finally bottled my wine and tried to cork it, I discovered these corks were the wrong size. The first of them was thoroughly stuck in my traffic jam. The label on the packaging is wrong.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Unsure

High quality corks fit standard wine bottles

The size is perfect. The quality is excellent. These corks have held up very well all year round. They are slightly shorter than standard wine corks, but this allows for easy shaping of the bottles.

So that's fine (had some trial and error).

So it's OK (by trial and error). Getting them out is a different story. I was bottling wine and going to uncork a month and a half later and this thing kept falling apart trying to get it out. WTF!?

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • It's OK

Excellent corks, best on filling and sealing

Worked great! I couldn't get them all the way into the bottle but it's my fault I don't have a proper cork but they did the job and sealed my cider pretty damn well! I have reused my Riunite wine bottles (size 1.5) and they have worked well for them, just make sure you have a good cork!

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons

Raise a toast after I pull that cork out

I give 2 stars for the product. Because the pack of 100 pieces did not correspond to the dimensions. I broke my hand plug because some of the plugs were too big and didn't go all the way in 😣To round off my terrible review. Some pegs came off trying to remove them 😣 Pretty embarrassing at a company Christmas party 😣 I would add photos but the picture is too horrible πŸ˜‚

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Best use for young wine in bottling and capping

I use these #8 corks on my home made wine which is meant to be drunk 'young' as the age or flavor does not change change noticeably over time. They fit my bottles very well, they don't leak. I would use a #9 cork on the same bottle if making a wine that needs to be aged over 1 year to be optimal as ambient temperature expands and contracts. Corks, you want a tighter closure than a #8 cork. Since the fit is tight, even with a #8 cork, I boil them in water and then pop them in with a double lever

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Available in white only
