Real life usage report. We used this light on the lowest flicker setting for four hours a day (6:30pm to 10:30pm) for a month using Revain AAA batteries. It worked great and looked really cool in the jack-o'-lantern. It looked like a real candle. I checked the batteries after we removed the decorations and they were in the dead zone but the light was still working. This tells me that the circuit can still handle low voltage/low current, so you really get the most out of your batteries.

These lights are really bright and look fantastic in jack o lanterns. They also look great from the street. My main issue with them is that the company ships paper in a box that says the light only lasts about 40 hours. Each flashlight requires three AAA batteries. 40 hours is not a lot considering they work 6-8 hours a night. I am very disappointed in this aspect, especially as I initially find these lights a bit expensive. But hey, at least they look really good while the batteries last.

I don't know how to give more than 2 stars here. First, they each take 3 batteries, so that's already a minus for the lack of a standalone battery. Light works well but not as bright as I would like. I've tried adjusting the brightness using the remote that comes with the backlight, but this causes the light to "flicker" and not get brighter.
