This hat is well made, thicker than I expected and soft. Bought for 2 year old granddaughter, tall and lanky, now she wears size 4. I don't know the size of her head, sorry. She is always ready to wear a hat, but it often falls over her eyes and she is frustrated when she puts it back on. This solves this problem perfectly! Their ears stay warm and their eyes aren't closed.

Excellent quality except for the fleece lining. I expected it to be very soft but it is very rough and scratchy. You can tell fleece is made out of cheap plastic. I don't think a few washes will help soften it. I'm afraid if I wash it the wool will get rougher. I love the adjustable strap at the back, but the cheap fleece lining really ruins this cute hat. I am so disappointed. I really wanted to love this hat.

Updated review: I really liked this hat but had to wait longer to write a review. After only 2 or 3 months of use, the Velcro (or Velcro) no longer held up, which is pretty important when worn by an active preschooler. I have items with velcro that still hold tight after 20+ years. It looks like the wool portion (the "loop" of the hook and loop component) is quite worn and no longer "looped".
