I'm so glad I chose this one

My grown daughter wanted a star projector night light for her bedroom in the apartment. The market is full of bright wave lights and auroras and more, but my daughter wanted stars. This Homestar Classic projects a real night sky and she is very happy that I gave her a real "indoor planetarium" instead of a toy version. These photos don't do it justice, but it really is an incredible car. Many thanks to SEGA for delivering two days before the scheduled download time! It was supposed to arrive on

O starry night! in home theater

We chose Sega's classic star projector because others have mentioned that it works just as well as the newer version, but the main difference is the light output. After it was ordered and on the way, I observed one reviewer who felt the extra light output was well worth it. There is a significant price difference. We got ours before my wife's birthday and used it the first night. It was wonderful - the sky rotates slowly and the shooting star attracts attention when it appears regularly. I…

Best option out there

So first well I wish I had it good, I'm away on business, it makes the room feel like home, every night. The stars are what the doctor ordered for a personal touch in every hotel room. A three year old loves it, we count until she falls asleep, and the hum of the motor is a soft sound that seems to soothe other noises. Now it's not so good. The shooting star effect is more mean than cool, more of a blur moving across the ceiling every five seconds. The device itself looks cheap, you won't be…

Turn the focus wheel and you're good.

Got this for Christmas and didn't think my 12 year old son would like it. Much to my surprise, he loves it once I set it up for him and wants to use it every night before bed. It has a nice timer and the shooting star feature is really cool. Just remember to use focus, i.e. rotate it all the way! I was put off by some of the reviews but I have to conclude they didn't quite turn the knob. The instructions are not worth reading, you only have to guess and a lot is self-explanatory. However, focus

I wish my photos were fair

When I first installed it I thought I was going to be a slacker. I did see lines going through the image as another reviewer mentioned. But after focusing the lens there are no problems. Looks like what I expected. The center of the image is very clear. The image is only stretched at the edges, where it's a little blurry. I don't care about the function of the shooting star. If they made the strip smaller it would be more realistic. Overall, I'm glad I chose the Homestar Classic. I spent a week

Exactly what I was looking for!

If you're looking for realistic stars and a realistic view of space, look no further. These other comments saying the photos are blurry are #1. I didn't encounter these problems. I simply adjusted the dial until it reached the sharpness I wanted. It was used in an attic bedroom so is 8ft from floor to ceiling and the images were very clear. I also went ahead and bought an additional drive which is also pictured. However, the star disc that comes with this pack is still my favorite. This gives…

IF YOU HAVE RINGS AND A COMPACT IMAGE, YOUR FOCUS RING IS BLOCKED! It feels like you're being rough on it, but twist the focus ring at the top counter-clockwise until it's free, then keep twisting until the image is sharp. Focus 1 is very accurate and 2 is screwed on too tight at the factory. I bought it along with extra drives because the night sky as we all know it will soon be spoiled by trains from hundreds of thousands of internet satellites. of 8 different companies, all constantly…
