If they were cheaper (much cheaper) I would give them a better rating. When assembled they look good and were easy to put together. However, for what I paid, they must be spotless and made with BEST QUALITY MATERIALS! They are DEFINITELY NOT worth the price. They're badly built. I am very happy with this bookcase! I tried everything before deciding on this one. I've seen beautiful bookshelves that cost twice as much. They're probably very good, but this half-price bookshelf does the job well. I'm a single woman and an elderly person, but I was able to handle the box and arrange the shelves myself. Just assembled by myself over the weekend (female, approx 40) and it was pretty damn easy compared to other, cheaper furniture I've assembled. There are some bad reviews on this table that I think should be corrected; I can't comment on how this table was made or designed over the years, but it somewhat influenced my decision to purchase this table over some of the others I've looked at.
