A lack of instructions resulted in me connecting to left-hand terminals that were not registered on the meter (connector on the right-hand side!). I thought the device was defective but googling helped me. Works great, operating at around 1000rpm (the max RPM of my engine). Great price and fast delivery.

I would give 5 stars if there were instructions. I had to hold my breath while connecting the sensor to the polarized terminals. Usually the wires were red for positive and black for negative. These are blue and brown and I connected the blue to the + terminal. I think the slowness of reading is due to the LCD lag, but that's not an issue with my winder. I will be winding many versions from 40 to 140 so you must follow.

so no instructions included, but the two sets of screws on the back have markings. One set is for the magnetic switch (50/50 chance of getting it right on the first try). The other set says reset and it's just instant contact to reset the device. The rest of the device works great. oh, and it holds a charge even after you remove the battery. Seems to work in my application (homemade winder). Interestingly, it seems to work whether batteries are installed or not (there doesn't seem to be an "off" - definitely not an off button, and the indicator is lit whether batteries are installed or not). There are no instructions, the battery compartment is difficult to open. It would be nice if it could be powered by a "wall wart" power supply. Maybe the power isn't needed - again, the instructions wouldn't hurt.
