Works as advertised, what more could you ask for in a cable.

The cable does the job, I use it to connect a land line I've run through a Cat 5e cable to my ADSL modem and it works great. Please don't rate badly if you don't know how to use this cable. For example, this cable cannot magically convert ADSL to Ethernet.

Happy tourist! for accessories and consumables

Very happy with it! I had to buy a new one after my dog chewed through my data cable for my internet. I called AT&T and they refused to just wire me up and not sell it in their stores. I called and went to several electronics stores and none of them had rj11/rj45 parts, or they only had 1 head, or only phone cords (neither of which worked). That works great!

Replacing an 8 wire phone system with a 4 wire

I needed to replace a Merlin 8 wire phone system with the new Panasonic kX-TA824. The problem I had was with the 8 wire cable. I found the answer with this phone converter plug system, 8 on one end and 4 on the other. It helped me just to add an adapter to a new Panasonic system and we were in business. I hope this helps you if you have the same problem as me. WPJL

Reading is knowledge, honesty is priceless.

Affordable, well made, looks sturdy, not sure if I can't use it. My mistake - ignorance of electronics. I figured this cable would allow me to plug the new router I bought directly into the phone line. It connects and fits really well! Problem? Nobody told me my new router didn't have a modem? So I had to use my 7 year old worn out fr#n=<er router. HOPE THIS WILL GET ANOTHER HOPELESS LIKE ME BEFORE THE DIFFICULT LEARNING TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR WIRELESS MODEM IS NOT JUST A ROUTER.

Exactly what I wanted

I just moved into a new house and the ethernet cable runs from my basement wiring closet to my office (4 'houses' actually). I didn't want to run a phone line because eventually POTS (plain old phone service) would die. However, my wife likes to use her phone at home for her business. This allowed me to connect my Fios phone line in the wiring closet to the ethernet jack on the patch panel connected to the office. I then plugged the other cable into the appropriate ethernet jack in my home…

Works to transmit the phone signal over ethernet cable

This works when you want the digital phone line signal to be transmitted from the modem over ethernet cable. Our house doesn't have phone lines but it is connected to the ethernet network so this was the only way to send a modem signal to our cordless phones. You need these cables as well as two Ethernet plugs to connect these cables to your existing line. Connect one of these cables to your modem and then use an adapter to connect this adapter cable to your Ethernet line. Do the same on the…

Just what I needed in my new home.

Just what I needed for a new home with a media closet and lots of network connections but no phone lines. I used them to run my phone line from my modem's phone jack in the media closet to my phone in my office. My builder felt that my cable/DSL/network closet was better placed in the master bedroom closet than in the office. The standard wirh Kat6 came home, he goes into every room from the closet. Of course they offered to run twisted pair cables to the office for a hefty fee, but a couple of
