Honda GCV160 Carburetor Review

I was amazed at how low the price was. I took my factory carb out 2 times to clean the injectors and get it working, waste of time. I found this carburetor and thought I'd take a chance before buying a new pressure washer. I installed it and it launched the second time and it worked fine without any tweaks. I don't get it, but when I turn it off it keeps filling the carb with fuel until the carb runs out, which wasn't the case before. I am currently working on a solution to this problem.

I got a free pressure washer from a pawn shop a few doors down from where I work. It wouldn't start so they said I could take it. I am a car mechanic by profession and my first impulse was to clean the carburetor. Well, the nozzles were too clogged for even my ultrasonic cleaner to remove the tar and varnish. So I ordered this one, which was a lot cheaper than buying a repair kit. When it arrived I filled it with fresh 93 octane gas and it caught fire! Thank you Lombard!

Bolted perfectly to my Honda GCV powered Delta pressure washer. No adjustments needed, just plug it in and it's working fine now. I think from now on I'll turn off the sprayer and always let it run without gas. One thing to consider is an OEM carburetor, which can be found online for around $25. This one works well so far, but you can tell it's not as good as the OEM Honda. I will restore the original as a spare and just keep it handy. Who knows, I might never need a replacement.

Problems with the Honda mower that only runs at full throttle. Did a web search which told me to clean my carburetor and replace the gaskets, there was probably an air leak. So a basketed cleaner costs about $25, while this carburetor is $4 less. I'm not a rocket scientist, but I know the numbers, it was the right way. It comes with 2 spacers.
