Works well. Already saved me money.

I wasn't too sure about this thing at first, but I've been using this blade for a month and a half since buying it. It does not sharpen 100% like new, but 80%, which makes shaving with the same blade much more pleasant. Try shaving on a blade without anything like this for a month and see how it works for you. Works with Gillette Fusion! I put some soap/cream on the rubber and rub it about 40 times with moderate force. A small downside is that this particular model is a bit slippery as the…

Great, but good technique is required.

Great tool but you need good technique. I've been using Harry's razor for four years now. For the first year it felt like it was having an effect, so I wrote a note to Keith, the inventor, who suggested using some soap. I've done this with seven or eight strokes over the course of two years and the blades have lasted about a month. My technique was to make seven strokes fast enough for the razor to vibrate a bit. During this time I have also found that holding the device on a towel at an angle…

Great idea that needs revising

First I gave Hone Alone a five star rating. Now a few months later I have to downgrade this to three stars. It worked fine for a month or so, but then the surface started to become uneven and crumble. I always move the razor in the same direction, so it's not a problem. It just doesn't have what it takes to be a durable product. Someone needs to sit down and figure out how to make Hone Alone work for more than a few months. Then you save money. Now I shave without hone alone. I'm waiting for a…

Too narrow for my Gillette

I've had this for a little over a week and use it on my Gillette. The blades don't seem to dull that quickly. The problem with Hon is that it's too narrow. Every move should be a razor blade, but it isn't. You have to make two moves to fully sharpen the blade because they made it too narrow. They shouldn't have cut the cost of production that much. You would think that they would make the razor they are talking about last longer and work without any problems. For such an expensive price this…

Doesn't really do anything

I was really hoping this thing would work as advertised. When I first got it I realized it wouldn't work with the type of razor I was using so I went ahead and bought a blade with more open blades so it could work. Ultimately, this product does nothing.

It works. Cartridges and refills

Good. I had my doubts about this tool, but other reviews cheered me up, so I decided to give it a try. I love it! I use a 3 blade razor on my legs and armpits. I've been using ONE razor for over six months since using it and it stays sharp. I want my husband to use it. That would save even more money.

  • Excellent overall performance
