The lowest speed is almost silent, but still powerful enough to cool the room. The other speeds are louder, but the fan doesn't make any unpleasant noises. I like that it doesn't beep when you press the buttons or use the remote. The base is a bit sentimental. It won't quite hold together so I wouldn't be surprised if it falls apart as the fan spins. Good fan for the price but probably won't last long.

It was great while it lasted, but not for long. The fan was nice and quiet, which is what I was looking for to have a gentle breeze at night without disturbing my wife. I got it on Sunday and it was great until Wednesday evening when the fan stopped working. All the lights came on and he hesitated, but the fan didn't turn. I bought this fan after reading many positive reviews. I'm very unhappy with it, on the highest settings I can't feel the breeze from the fan unless I'm six inches away from it. The best way to explain fan failure is "it has a mind of its own".
