Good universal replacement

perfectly replaces the original. The only difference is that this one includes a rinse cycle (the original didn't have one) - that's NOT a bad thing, just in case.

  • Cool item
Cons

It works, somehow. fits ignition parts

Works but there is no fan control on the board so it took an extra 2 hours to completely re-solder the firebox with a DPDT relay and two solid state timers, one delayed, one Power off delay and setting delay time on timer. When I did all this, it worked wonderfully.

Perfect replacement for ignition parts

Was the perfect replacement for my aging stove. It turned out that this wasn't actually the cause of my oven problems, but by replacing it I was able to rule it out and narrow down the real cause. In the end it still cost me less than contacting service. The specification and instructions made the replacement easy.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Easy installation of a quality product.

Stick to Honeywell and you can't go wrong. I had to rewire what I expected when I switched to a different manufacturer of the original ignition control module, but it was very easy. The circuit diagram was easy to understand, the device was easy to install and worked perfectly. No problem all winter long.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • alt

Took care of an intermittent ignition problem on my AO Smith water heater. Based on some YouTube videos this product was recommended to replace a failed Robert White HS780 Ignition Controller. Came with great instructions on how to route the wiring and I had it installed and connected in about 30 minutes. "knock on wood" Since installing this new controller I have had no ignition problems.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Great price and great product

I bought a replacement universal HSI module from Honeywell to upgrade my old 1986 Coleman THE 90+. The original (non-Honeywell) module started to go haywire (at -20F, of course), and I was hoping to find an alternative that would be cheaper to fix, have additional features, and be relatively easy to install. JACKPOT! The S8910u 1000 was HALF the price of a similar plug-in (I think the competition is VERY proud of their logo), has a diagnostic LED, and is VERY easy to follow. The package…

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Expensive
