The lightbulb didn't work. I could not.

The lightbulb did not work. The bulb could not be replaced because it is stuck and cannot be replaced, but the sound signal works. Disappointing. I knew it was damaged when I bought it but the description said it was still working. Not correct.

Plug & Play - Backup Beep

Installation is easy. . Remove the current taillight/reversing light, unplug the bulb, plug it in and put the taillight back on the vehicle. The bulb (though very small) is quite bright. Not very loud but should be noticeable when reversing... Not annoying. Good value for money.

Great for older ladies

I originally bought this to fit my truck but because of the exhaust it was barely audible. I wanted to return it, but instead I put it in my grandmother's focus. She loves it and it seems to do her good. At least it gives pedestrians some warning when backing out of a parking lot.

Great idea that should be part of the standard equipment of all vehicles!

This item is easy to install and should be in all vehicles as it tells others that you are reversing. I've had them in my last 4 cars as small children bike on the sidewalks and people walk in our area and this article lets them know I'm driving backwards.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete

Works great when backing up in jerk-filled parking lots.

Works great in my hammer. The installation is similar to replacing a light bulb. I love the look I get when backing my Humvee up. It is strange. I have a backup camera but as my Hummer is a 2007 it is not original and there is no emergency stop. I live in Florida with a lot of old and just plain dumb people, I hope the pager will alert people?

  • Best in its niche

Almost useless.

I couldn't figure out how to contact the seller but I was shocked. This isn't the first of these devices that I've bought (although I don't remember if the last device was of this brand). Technically it does everything it claims to make it harder to return BUT the backup siren is so weak you have to be by the reversing light frame to hear it! My previous setup was on a Suburban with the same type of product that I bought from JC Whitney. The design looks similar (I think the previous one was…
