I've been selling Hosa products for a long time since I've had my own keyboard retail store and have always found Hosa products to be reliable and reasonably priced. In my application I needed 8 cables (4 stereo outputs) to go from the keyboard to the mixer and with different colors it's easy to see what goes where.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Thin Bad Screen: Cat 5 Cable

I don't know if they changed the product but what I got is very thin (weaker than similarly priced cables) and the screen works noticeably worse than in my other cable too (the amount of incoming noise is much more audible). Please note that the product description does not say anything specific about the shielding. A protective coating is indicated for other products. I order new cables and throw them away.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Don't remember

Good but not great cables I use to connect.

Good, but not great Cables I use to connect my power rack and effects processors to my mixer. Nice to have so you can keep a record of your connections and not have to dig deep in the closet to see what's what. The connector is great, but the wires are quite thin and easily damaged - about 1/3 the thickness of a typical guitar cable. I've since replaced them with a short Hosa snake that makes 8 cables.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Frustrated with computer accessories and peripherals

About five years ago I bought a box of HOSA ¼-inch 3ft jumpers. They were excellent. I reordered what I expected to be the same product. What arrived today was very different - even from the advertised image on Revain. One product that was delivered to me this week had the protective plastic outer layer around the cable significantly reduced. The wiring inside the cable will be significantly more sensitive to the harsh environment of the convertible. You feel thin. The image on Revain is a…

Very nice electronics

Another solid product from Hosa. They have high quality products and then they have good value products, this is a valuable line but still Hosa build quality, very good value for money.

Pros
  • Feel good
Cons
  • Ready to exchange

Disappointed with ethernet cables

Works well. - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Hard to beat for the price. I use them with Moog Voyager Select, VX-351 CV Expander and CP-251 CV Mixer/Processor. When I bought the CP-251, I received eight 1.5 foot patch cords. They were thicker and appeared "quality" or "more professional". However, Hosa cables are "quality" and there are no problems with them. Although the cable is smaller in diameter (insulation and overall thickness, at least) than the others, I haven't had any issues. Maybe time will tell, but they're easy to patch and…

Slim, flexible, bright and durable

I use these cables in a Moog style modular synth and they work great. They're thinner and more flexible than a typical Moog (or Synthesizers.com) patch cord, so they weigh less on flexible systems (lighter on the back of convertibles), flex better, and also have nice colors (stage appeal). - don't laugh, it's important!) I bought three packs of these for my compact system. The oldest set is around six months old so I can't comment on their durability compared to Moog/Dotcom type cables but I…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an AC outlet
