I use it for several bell projects and work well with it. but found that the magnet would pick up the wire/coil. SO is made of low-grade stainless steel (high in ferrite, i.e. iron). Time will tell how it behaves on the road.

Item arrived after the announcement. Although I was told it was poorly packaged and the spool was broken and I now need to buy a new spool so I can run the wire over it (every 500ft) so I don't end up with rat's nest wire all over the place.

This wire was the perfect solution for us. We used it to support Edison string lights between two pergolas about 32 feet apart. The only negative is that the plastic spool was badly damaged, several pieces fell off from delivery in a plastic bag. This made unwinding the wire a little difficult.

Don't think hanging pictures with this wire is easy! Do yourself a favor and get a more flexible wire. Yes, it's covered in plastic, but even if you pull on it with pliers, it won't curl around the D-ring for hanging on the back of your painting. I wish someone would tell me that. I would buy a different wire - more pliable and more comfortable on my tired hands (from battling that crappy wire).

I bought this to support my Ryu Asuka wings and was able to play with the wire a bit and roll up my already bent pieces. They stuck together all day at the convention center, so I'll give it an A for durability. The only thing I would improve is the stretch. Still I didn't use it for its intended purpose which is hanging pictures, in fact it's sturdy enough to hang heavy art. You can turn off clear coding if you want, as shown in Figure 3. For my cosplay wings, I left them on.
