I was looking for a basket for the bottom of my stairs to be a kind of "catch" for objects to be carried upstairs. I've never found one that isn't half the width of the stairs. It was the perfect solution as it is large enough to fit many things, yet compact enough not to get in the way of using the stairs. I love the way it looks too!
