Perfect for my application that requires 3 monitors. Very affordable. Now my laptop has all the connectivity of a tower case.

Love lots of USB ports and a data drive installed. A standalone data disc reader costs almost as much as a docking station.

Easy to set up, add more bays and DVD-ROM space when you replace it with an extra hard drive. You can add multiple monitors.

I am using this HP docking station with an old HP 8570w laptop. Yes the laptop is old and the processor is i5 3rd generation BUT you can't beat this laptop for reliability and endurance. These Elitebooks were made so well that you can still find them refurbished and ready to go. And a B condition or better doesn't come cheap. I love that the keys fall off when typing.
