🔴 HP 125A Magenta Toner Cartridge CB543A Review

Cartridge had to be returned. He showed that it was empty! I have no idea how a sealed HP product can be so defective. It was cheaper than Office Depot and Staples, but the hassle of returning it and buying another is annoying. It looks like you get what you pay for.

However this product worked for me without incident but blue was a nightmare. The yellow, specifically marked as 'compatible', worked without incident, but the 'restored' black initially 'bleeded' after a few uses. I think you get what you pay for and then sometimes you get lucky. I guess I got lucky with this but I'll probably buy an original HP brand from Staples with a coupon to replace this cartridge. I'll probably continue to buy the yellow as a refurbished or compatible as it's light…

This toner has always lasted 6 months for me, except this time. It's been around 2 months of limited usage during the pandemic and it's not enough. I wonder if it really was a remanufactured cartridge and not a new one?

When checking the delivery information, it turned out that the cartridge had been sent. No actual delivery date given. Now tomorrow I will go to a local store and try to buy it as my printer only prints in black as this cartridge has run out. Contrary to a recent experience with another amazon.com seller, it appears the cartridge was not delivered at all. It was a very good price, so maybe there's a catch. What can I say about the toner cartridge - (1) it's HP, fits my printer; (2) this is the toner color I ordered; (3) the price was right; (4) satisfied customer. It's not gold and doesn't have an endless supply of toner, so it gets a good score.

This printer prints very well and is quite fast. I have not tried third party cartridges because I have had issues with other manufacturers' remanufactured laser cartridges in the past. I give it four stars because it prints very well but is a bit pricey. Replacing all 4 cartridges (probably needs to be done once a year or every two years) costs about $300. Before receiving this order I was told it would come to me and was not in the manufacturer's packaging. I had to buy new toner today to replace this one because when 2/3 or more of the toner was left the magenta stopped working about 2 weeks ago. After I replaced it with new toner from Office Max, the printer worked great again. I will never accept any other packaging from Revain or any other company that sells through Revain that is not in the manufacturer's original sealed packaging!

I took a chance and bought this cartridge through Revain. Revain will not tell you the price until you add the item to your cart. However, it did save me over $25.
