HP 80X CF280X High Yield Black Toner Cartridge for HP LaserJet Pro 400 - M401 Series, M425dn Review

Ordered a NEW toner cartridge which comes in a sealed plastic bag and packed in end boxes - it doesn't move. The packaging was sealed with tape and the toner cartridge rattled in the box - unacceptable for the price I paid.

Ordered on 06/18/18, installed on 07/21/18 and the ink looks very faded from the start. The expiry date on the bottom of the box is 20180210. This is unacceptable for a cartridge that should be at least 10 months old. Not when I paid close to $200 for it!

Purchased in April 2017. In operation, part of the toner warped and jammed by itself as in the attached photo and is not fully functional I can no longer use it even though there is a lot of toner left. When I replaced another new toner, 80A, my printer worked fine. It means my printer is normal, there is a problem with the old toner cartridge. I want to get another one for free. I print a lot in black and white and have found that this high performance cartridge, while expensive, works well and saves me money in the long run. I only use HP ink cartridges for my HP printer. It's not the cheapest option, but they never disappoint. After finding this high performance version of my regular cartridge model, I have become the only cartridge I buy. Revain's prices for this product are competitive; I didn't find it necessary to buy elsewhere. For those who print a lot in black

4 stars because of the constantly high price; but really, like so many others, we bite the bullet and pay for OEM due to too many leaks/fake issues (even if they're only a small fraction of the OEM price). OEMs have almost always worked flawlessly (a few exceptions over the years, but quickly replaced if you buy through Revain). It's worth the price for our main printer because we can't afford to turn it off and clean it as it's a shared printer and it does most of the work for 6 people on that
