HP 202A CF500A Black Toner-Cartridge for LaserJet Pro M254, M281 Series Review

What impressed me the most about this purchase was the fast next day delivery. Also, it didn't seem to matter what day the order was placed. I placed two separate orders with the same result. I've had bad experiences with third party toner cartridge replacements, but you can't go wrong with replacing HP toner and these are official HP replacement parts that work perfectly. I admit they are expensive. Now I just want to know how long they will last under my conditions of use.

This cartridge lasts about half the advertised number of pages, although many of them are printed in draft. I am using an HP branded cartridge because a company firmware update locked my printer so now you must use their product - I have no choice and cannot use third party cartridges. The quality is good, but clearly no better than that of (significantly) cheaper third-party manufacturers. Declared yield is approximately 1,400 pages. If a cartridge is installed, the status shows "Normal Approximately pages will not print. Why Pages Remaining of 1,100 pages is less than Suggested Revenue of 1,400 pages. Without printed pages, the number should be the same. I cherish my HP laser printer but the toner cartridge is expensive considering it doesn't last as long as it should. I'm a die hard HP enthusiast so I probably won't switch even though I'm not a 'happy customer'.

I wish I had read the reviews before buying this toner. It appears to work well, but as other reviewers have said, these are clearly repackaged toner cartridges. The outer packaging was previously opened and sealed with adhesive tape. The inner container looked good and the recycle label was in the box. I've run the printer report and the toner has the correct number of pages left, so I'm assuming the cartridge itself is new because I need the cartridge, but I strongly suspect it isn't. Very…
