Keyboard and mouse connected to the USB ports and connected. Nothing worked. Disconnected everything, removed computer, reconnected docking station, reconnected keyboard and mouse. Nothing yet. The adapter didn't fit either. It kept falling out. I repackaged it and sent it back. I was trying to save some money by purchasing this refurbished dock. I'll spend the extra money and buy a new one.

This product works exactly as described. Both my wife and I get HP laptops from our employers. The company she works for uses a different HP laptop model (I don't know the model) than the one I use (I use an HP EliteBook 840 G3) but they both fit perfectly and work great! It was purchased as a refurbished product and had a few minor scratches but that bothered me because they were covered. It works and that's all I care about.

This handy docking station really gives me free use of my laptop when I need it, and it's easy to connect to use multiple monitors, a full-size keyboard, and USB mice. It was easy to set up, but getting it up and running was a real challenge. I used the display port to connect my monitor. Every few seconds the monitor would go black, turn on again, and go black again. Obviously not a viable way to work. I had to do a lot of research only to find out that I needed to update the firmware on my dock. Solution found on the HP support forums. Advantages: - Cheaper than new. - Works with HP Elitebook G3 - AC adapters work. a keyless security lock that prevented the dock from being used until I disassembled the dock to remove the lock (60+ custom screws and hours of labor to disassemble and reassemble the dock).
