Inexpensive double layer DVD plus

double layer DVD I rarely use but when the video file is quite big I don't know how to cut and glue it , so I buy double layers and they work great. But usually I buy a single layer DVD plus. The price of the HP brand was very competitive compared to no-name brands.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • cable is shorter than other picks

Most failed to burn

I've had no problems with other brands, but I had to throw out almost all of these blank HP discs because they couldn't be verified after burning. I bought them because they were cheaper than Verbatum but ended up wasting my money. I used a half spindle and only burned 2 discs successfully.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Crumpled

Storage Capacity - Blank Media

These "large" capacity DVDs are great for storing and backing up large amounts of data, be it file data, music or even video. No longer available at retail stores I've visited in my area, don't know or know why. The younger generation doesn't need something like that since everything is broadcast now. Everything is fine, I got what I need, excellent value for money.

Pros
  • Delivery Was Very Fast
Cons
  • Poor

Didn't work for me - YMMV

They were half the price of Verbatim discs so I decided to give it a try. The first two movies I copied from my collection did not play on my OPPO 103D. I kept getting stops, jumps and pauses. (Signs of Bad Media) So much for savings. From now on I will pay the price for Verbatim media. They're twice the price, but they work. I suspect Verbatim reckons they can charge twice as much for their media as they seem to be the only DVD+DL discs on the market that work consistently.

Pros
  • Great for me

3 of the first 4 failed - on an HP computer however!

My HP Envy desktop has been in the same place since I bought it 2 years ago have. I've only burned about 30 discs so far. So I figured HP drives would do. NO! 3 of the 4 I entered were rejected as useless. And who knows if I'll be able to read "well" if I turn on my old computer and check it out. Yes, I want my money back.

Pros
  • Each spindle contains 50 pieces of 8.5GB dual layer DVD+R discs with 8x write speed
Cons
  • Not sure

DVD+R storage capacity

These 'big' capacity DVDs are great for storing and storing large amounts of data when you need it, be it Data in files, music or even video. Everything is fine, I got what I need, excellent value for money.

Pros
  • Holds 8.5 gigabytes of data or up to 240 minutes of TV and video
Cons
  • boring packaging

HP makes it again! These affordable HP DVD+R DOUBLE LAYER discs have a reject rate of 15-20%. My fiftieth package came with bad sectors about 1 hour and 20 minutes into the video. I didn't realize it until I hit that area on the timeline on many occasions. So add 20% to the cost plus your time, whatever it costs, and that's your actual cost for fifty HP drives. I believe this is part of the overall production process of backmixing the scraps in the post to offset the cost as these were the same

Pros
  • Ideal for archiving films and large amounts of data
Cons
  • No automatic
