Made my HP laptop ultra fast

Works very well. My HP laptop was only running at about 90Mbps on my gigabit fios. Now it's over 900ms. I recommend making sure the internet browser you are using is the latest available and you are seeing super speed.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Working Computers and accessories

Plugged into a USB 3.0 port on an HP Envy laptop and it worked right away. The Ethernet speed has increased to over 200 Mbit/s. No directions with him.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Works with HP Specter x360

Instantly detected incoming network signal by blinking green light. Tested with speedtest.net and it gave the expected result. bought this mainly to test network speeds with a wired connection.

If you need it, you need it.

Suitable for woman's slim/thin laptop who had to sacrifice a port. Too bad HP had to use a wrench for the Ethernet cable connector in the first place. Should have been bundled with the laptop but is a fairly expensive addition. Drivers are installed automatically, and at gigabit speeds, it easily launches a Wi-Fi connection.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Long waiting time

Very reliable connection, full throughput 1000Mbps / 100Mbps

On my Dell E7450 laptop with its notoriously problematic ethernet port which speed kept dropping up to 100Mbps or decreased, it was very stable for me. Other USB/Gigabit adapters that are unreliable and I've even tried one. This HP adapter seems to do the trick after a week of heavy use. It's good to see that HP still makes quality products (although the driver indicates the more generic "Realtek USB GBE Family Controller").

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Weight

This is a high quality, high-speed Ethernet connector for use with a USB 3 port on a computer, none Third party component. This port is particularly useful for the HP "Specter X360" series of computers (which I purchased this part for) as it has a dedicated USB 3.0 port but no Ethernet port. I use it regularly to connect to a 1Gb LAN system and have never had a problem with it. It's hard to say if it can reach the full 1Gbps speed because of many factors involved in network connection both…
