From the moment I put the new toner cartridge in, it printed progressively thicker lines down one side of the page. Replacing the supposedly new cartridge with the old one fixed the problem (although of course the old cartridge was almost empty so the text wasn't as black as it should be).

Power User Tip: Installing a toner cartridge, printing a test page, opening the toner door, removing the cartridge, and cleaning the inside of the printer to remove loose toner powder from the rollers, tray, etc. will reduce the risk of streaks on your Pages. . Put the toner cartridge back into the printer and print again. You are ready to go. Happy printing!

Maybe it's just bad luck, but this particular cartridge didn't work to begin with. I haven't had any issues with them in the past, but to be honest they don't work as they should. Pages "squishy" (as if the printed material is slipping out in the wrong place). We also initially had stripes on the sides. I fixed it by deleting everything in the printer, but then the "fog" started and won't stop. I ordered a new one to make sure it was an isolated case.

Bought almost a month ago. It came in original HP packaging, even with an HP sticker sealing the box. I'm not sure how old it is or how well it will work as my current toner has some life left. The biggest issue I have is that there is a $9.99 Goodwill sticker on the side of the box. Considering I paid about $150, that's pretty confusing. The least they could do was remove the sticker so I didn't feel like a jerk. I'll update the review once I open up the toner and see if it actually works.
