Underwhelming Undercabinet Wiring Solution

My analysis of this product showed that it simply didn't live up to its promises. Despite its claims of being resistant, it easily showed wear and tear in an industrial setting. Though it was easy to install, it failed to provide the level of durability needed for industrial and scientific environments.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Not as resistant as advertised

Works with standard electrical box.

You cannot screw this into a regular single electrical box. The top and bottom mounting screws on the unit do not match the control box. In addition, the socket is not tight against the plug. Looks like this item is only meant to be used with its box under the counter.

Cons
  • Damaged

Works with mods in standard packaging

Purchased to install behind a TV mount. Great if you want to stay with a gang. I had to make some changes to work with the default "old work" box. I end up cutting off some of the plastic backing to make it flush with the box. I ended up drilling new mounting holes. It worked great. You will need an oscillating tool and a drill.

Cons
  • Out of fashion
