The holes are not the same distance apart as .

The holes are spaced differently than other non-metallic tubes. So until I removed the packaging, I didn't know they didn't match the spacing on my porch. I got this working, but only after trying a few adapters, which was quite painful and took a while; Your purchase was also an additional expense. This is a well made product other than that.

Gives you a little extra space

This 4" round box extension is well made and the extra heavy duty gasket is very nice compared to other gaskets I've seen that come with regular base boxes. It fits snugly onto the existing box, providing additional space, just not as much as you might think. If the base box is already stuffed with cables, the expansion is likely to result in code (relative to the number of connections). However, if there are already too many connections and you want to add an outlet or switch, you may still…

Unique product for round ceiling box extension

This is a unique product I'm very happy Where to find This is a high quality die cast metal drawer extender that comes with a foam gasket, two screws and plastic threaded plugs for the four side holes. I used it to extend a crowded round ceiling box in my garage. Our house has aluminum wiring and I'm always afraid to fiddle with electrical boxes for fear of disturbing a sleeping dog was. Although the extension extends about an inch below ceiling level, the installation still looks neat and…

Ideal for 2.75 mud rings and 3.5 inch boxes

Recently renovated the house and took the opportunity to install boxes for security lights, motion sensors for no motion sconces and security cameras to monitor the Look to replace duct for a cleaner. In some places I've used 4" square boxes and mud rings for new work with 2-3/4" bolt spacing, while in others I've used pancake boxes with 3-1/2" spacing between the screws. Security lights and awnings with motion sensors have openings that are only 3-1/2" apart. Using guides and mounting plates…

Excellent unique product for round ceiling box extension

This is a unique product which I am very pleased with. This is a good quality die cast metal box extender that comes with a foam rubber gasket, two screws and threaded plastic plugs for the four side holes. I used it to extend an overstuffed round ceiling box in my garage. We have aluminum wiring in our house and I'm always afraid to fiddle with electrical boxes so I don't disturb my sleeping dog. But in this case I installed two pluggable LED strips on the garage ceiling that required a…
