At first glance it looks like this is exactly what I was looking for, but. A week later I found out that a camera was dangling from my ring light due to a busted junction box!

Easy to install but adding the lamp socket requires custom size screws which are not included. In 50 years of collecting screws, nuts and bolts, it took 45 minutes to find usable screws.

If you're buying this more expensive product (compared to other similar boxes) because you need less depth, don't. The depth is 1.125 inches - that's closer to 1.375 inches, the inside and outside depths are about 1.5 inches. Basically the same dimensions as other cheaper boxes. What a pain, how difficult it can be to get the right measurements.

Purchased to install Category 5e CCTV lines to outside points of our new home in Hawaii. White also matches the color of our house. I bought these and an aluminum cover with holes for installing a motion sensor and LED spotlight. It was very easy to install the cable on it thanks to the supplied grommets and plugs, but when it came time to unscrew the cover the screws that came with the cover didn't want to be screwed in. I ended up using a rough look. Instead there were wood screws and I could imagine the plastic wearing down over time. If this block ever breaks or I change the mount in it, I can replace it with a metal…
