This lid is easy to use, seals well and looks like it will last. Other lids tend to be more brittle and will inevitably break. This one has a little more flex, which should benefit durability. The only complaint is the price. Expensive just for the lid.

I bought this item to dry store old buckets of hydraulic fluid. Initially, it was very tight and didn't snap fully around the entire perimeter. So I put the bucket and lid in the sun and let the plastic heat up. Once it got warm, the lid snapped open easily. I left it on for a few days to adjust to the bucket and now it can be taken off and put back on with ease.

Several reviews state that this lid will not fit Hudson 5 gallon buckets even though both are made by the same company. weaklings! Suitable if you have strong wrists. You have to fight him first.
