Very quiet, the backlight is unobtrusive, doesn't disturb sleeping, good that you can switch it off. The remote control and sleep features are great additions. It helped keep my sinuses from drying out now that we had a heater during this cold time of year.

Don't waste your money. The nozzle is open and level. This humidifier does not emit a mist. It's on and I can feel it but I can't see any steam. I see more fog on those donuts you put in a cup than on this thing that's so much bigger. For the price I should have seen fog or steam. It's like a $5 portable fan. -_-***Edit!*** After keeping it for 1 hour and adding 1/2 boiling water I got steam.
